The Hurmetci Village hosts many animals. The Yilki Horses are the most famous one. However, there is one more which is highly important and attractive: the buffalos. We know them from the wild life documentaries mostly, and watch their dramatic life when they are attacked by some lions. Normally in natural life, they live in the most dangerous place for them. They are like just ‘foods’ for the wildest animals.
This time the situation a little different! This time they all in safe! There are no lions waiting in the shrubbery to attack them. This time, they roam in the village as they wish. They are happy here! In this village, there are more than 1000 buffalos! They help to the local people about dairy products. With their milk, local people produce different kinds of cheese, yogurt, and cream. And these products help to people about their economical condition. Today the Hurmetci Village is a frequent destination for people who like dairy products because of the very delicious buffalo milk.
In good seasons like spring and summer, the sheepman of the village grazing them on the huge fields of the village for hours. And on the cold seasons, they feed by their owners in the barn. But for the photographers, the important time of the year is July and August. Because in these months after they grazing on the field, towards evening they started to go back to their house. During their walk home, they cross a little river.
